Shannon Shorr (BLUFFforRENT)

Shannon Shorr was born in the USA in 1985. Before becoming a professional poker player, he played for the Shades Valley High School baseball team. Although he doesn't own a WSOP bracelet, he has been seen at 10 final tables at the World Series of Poker as well as 4 final tables at the World Poker Tour (WPT). In all, Shorr has 80 paid places in major international tournaments, with a total purse of almost $12 million. His most impressive performance came on April 7, 2006, when he won the Bellagio Cup II $10,000 No Limit Hold'em tournament. For his performance, he won $960,690. Before becoming a full-time poker player, Shannon was a civil engineering student at university.

- In 2013, Shannon Shorr was named one of the best players of the decade according to The Official Global Poker Index.

- In 2006, Shorr dropped out of his civil engineering program at university to focus full-time on his poker career. However, in 2008, he re-enrolled in his program, completing it in 2010. Today, he's a graduate of the program.

-One of his best years was 2015, when he won 10 paid places in WSOP events. That's a noteworthy accomplishment for any poker player.

- In May 2022, he walked into a casino and bet $100 on roulette on number 24 (his daughter was born on November 24). The ball landed on 24 and he went to celebrate in a club with the money he won.

What is he doing today?

In his own words, Shorr describes himself first as a father, then a husband and finally, a poker player. He's still very active on the international scene, and to this day (2023) still takes part in all the big poker tournaments.
